Dr. Zachary Johnson, MD

Dr. Zachary Johnson is a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon specializing in both minimally invasive and complex spine surgery. He brings advanced expertise in treating a wide range of brain and spine conditions, with a strong focus on patient-centered care and customized treatment planning.

Dr. Johnson earned his bachelor's degree in biology with honors from Mississippi College in 2011 and received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2016. During medical school, he was inducted into several prestigious honor societies, including Alpha Omega Alpha, Phi Kappa Phi, and the Gold Humanism Honor Society, and received the UMMC Neurosurgery Merit Award.

He completed his neurosurgery residency and advanced spine surgery fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. His training covered the full spectrum of spinal care—from minimally invasive procedures and surgical robotics to complex spinal deformities and tumors.

In 2023, Dr. Johnson joined Dallas Neurosurgical & Spine and is currently seeing patients at our Plano office. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Texas Association of Neurological Surgeons, and the North American Spine Society.

Outside of work, Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, hiking, and playing soccer, pickleball, and golf.
