About Dr. Sulhan

Meet Dr. Suraj Sulhan

Board-Eligible Neurosurgeon | Fellowship-Trained in Endoscopic Spine Surgery | Focused on Ultra-Minimally Invasive Spine Care

Dr. Suraj Sulhan is a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon who practices with Dallas Neurosurgical & Spine in Plano and cares for patients at Methodist Hospital for Surgery. His work centers on ultra-minimally invasive spine care, especially endoscopic spine surgery, and on finding the least invasive treatment that is appropriate for each person's condition. His goal is to help patients recover well, regain function, and protect their long-term spine health.

Dr. Sulhan's path to medicine began on the concert stage. He studied bass trombone at The Juilliard School and went on to earn his bachelor's degree in music performance from Southern Methodist University. He then earned his medical degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine, where he graduated at the top of his class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society as a junior member.

He completed his neurological surgery residency at Houston Methodist and served as Chief Resident. He remained at Houston Methodist for fellowship training focused on endoscopic spine surgery and complex degenerative spine conditions. Because endoscopic techniques were part of his formal training across both residency and fellowship, he belongs to one of the first generations of neurosurgeons to be trained this way from the start of their surgical careers.
